Drawn in Gandaki region of Pokhara, Nepal during a 5-month-long self-directed study into the metaphysics of intuitive and alchemical artmaking, following the official tutelage of Thangka master Llama Manoj in Pokhara.
This is a handbound book of 7 original ink drawings with text done on vintage Lokta paper in Pokhara. It is for the avid collector of Sab’s work, the first of two drawing books to be available after 10 years.
Part of a series of works drawn in Nepal with the intention of self-determination and self-actualizing from the void state.
6” x 9” approximately, archival grade ink on acid-free, handmade vintage lokta. Bound with nylon thread for durability.
*vintage Lokta paper differs from the modern blended papers found commercially in Nepal and India today. This work was done on vintage Lokta which features mica and quartz in its fibres . Lokta is traditionally used for sacred texts and images, ritual, and government documents.
